I am completely against animal testing; it is very wrong and cruel. It is very hard to see pictures of animals with their face all cut up with no skin covering it while they are still alive not to gross you out but to show you what they have to go through. Think of all the pain they are going through, what if that were you. Animals feel the same pain as we do here is a quote I found:

As a matter of fact, there are no human experiments. There are only human quasi-experiments. The second reason we do animal testing is that we can control the environment.
The more the environment differs, the less consistent the results will be. For humans, the positive effects of animal testing are that you can actually do an experiment as opposed to a quasi-experiment and you don't have to take into account life histories and many of the other factors that can affect an experiment environment.
As far as I'm concerned and I'm a scientist, not a radical there are very few new innovations in human medicine that are the direct result of animal experimentation.
